Dirty Dealings...
After dinner, Nav said that he would drive up to meet up and collect his drinks. Whislt waiting, I helped exchange one of da's lychee drinks with Nav's sugar cane. BTW this was all done at the boot of the car. It looked so dodgy coz the carpark was dark and dingy, and while this 'commotion' was going on, I was on a look out for Nav..so it looked like some drug thing happening. It was funny when Nav pulled up SLOWLY with dark tinted windows. I swear if there were cops around, we would surely be questioned. But the suspicion ended when Hairul came to give Doug a kiss and we all kept saying 'Good nighst' and 'I love yous' .
Once again, a memory made to be kept forever!!! This can only happen with this gang in Sydney. Guys I'm definately gonna miss you.

I'm back - AKON
' Don't look no further... I was gone for a minute but now I'm home'
YES I'm back!! Boy do I miss this place. The weather, the smell of this place, the feel to this place,.. but most importantly the PEOPLE!! I think in the last couple of days I've caught up with almost everyone here. Although Mark's been working non-stop, and I haven't got a chance to be with him yet, catching up with the guys has been great! From the night out at BlackBird to Doug's birthday party..I hadn't had the time to breathe.
Only now as I wait for dear Miss Chow to get ready. We're heading to Chinatown then to the Rocks for more phototaking. I promise for pics to be up soon. I have not installed photoshop on my lappy yet so excuse me, but it might take awhile for the pics to be uploaded. Also I'm waiting for people to send me pics. =)
So here I am, in Sydney for the next 2 weeks catching up with my mates and my lover.hehehe..then back to reality. Sigh! Anyways..I'm off to look for food and to catch some sun rays..take care people.

Tuesday, October 4
Well..I must say that I DID write alot back in those days. Uni days sure gave me lots of free time. =) Wish I could go back and relive those years again. but life goes on doesn't it? sigh..it does. 13wks back and what have I acomplished?? do I dare say nothing? Life for me hasn't really gone according to plans as such but I'm taking it a day at a time. With parents on my back constantly, I really have no choice but to live a day as it comes. I'm slowly learning to deal with parental pressure all over again. Its not easy, but i guess one has to deal with it.
Okay, I'm really lost for words now. Nothing much has happened lately and I can't think of anything that would be worth saying. Now is that bad or what?! Has my life shifted into a mundane and boring routine that I can't possibly find anything interesting? Dear me..what should I do? what can I do? well for starters, I plan to turn this sat a workout day for me. A run in the morning, followed by a swim, and maybe for the mind I'll play articulate by myself (sad huh?) hehehe...ah wellz.
so there you have, the lowest low down you could possibly read. sigh, sigh, sigh...

Tuesday, September 27
Well, with that thought hanging heavily on my mind, I've realise that life is way too short to be fearful or angry at certain things. Do things with full compassion and make everything worth your while. (sound so philosophical eh?!). ANYwaay, just be happy and have fun.
~
As for what I've been up to lately..well, our little Ner (not so little anymore) is finally working. Okay maybe working is not really the right word to use. I'm more like helping out my mum's friend with some stuff in his company. SO, my position currently is as follows:JAVA PROGRAMMER/IT CONSULTANT. Sounds pretty important eh?! hehehe...What my job here is to convert his Delphi softwares to Java platforms. Its alittle hardcore, but slowly I'm getting used to it. Here's the low-down of the company. Its called Emobile. What we do is to provide services through sms. We've built a chip which has our software embedded in it. Currently our business is mainly based in Jarkarta. So with your mobile, you can do simple transactions (e.g checking bank balance, funds transfer, blah blah..). Other services our we provide is allowing customers to use their mobile like VISA cards (direct debit). So for example, when you go to one of our merchants (i.e restaurant) and you're about to pay your bill. All you have to do is to give your mobile num. The restaurant will then send an sms to the bank, which will in return sms u for confirmation of the payment and your pin. And VIOLA! you've paid your bill. Well there're more services that we provide but I'll spare you the boring details. For those interested, well just email me. hehehe...

I'm coming HOME!!! After 15weeks of being back in sunny Singapore, I'm dying to go HOME! I know Singapore is truly home and I love it here (don't get me wrong) but I guess it's the getting used-to-be-back-here thing that is getting to me. I've been gone for 5 years. I've built a life there. Coming back here, meant I had to leave everything back there. My friends, my family, and a chapter of my life. Many will call this a part of life and that this is all a part of growing up. I miss everyone back there.
Fine, its easy making new friends, but making ones that will last and mean as much as those in Sydney - impossible!! Okay maybe I'm over dramatising, but everytime I meet a new person, I find it such a cumbersome to introduce yourself, telling them about what you've done, why you chose to do that..and stuff like that. Its painstaking I tell you. Its worst when you've got a problem and you need to talk to someone (other than your parents) about it. But THERE's NO ONE HERE!!! Imagine I have to tell them all the things leading/relating to the problem before I can tell them about the problem.Sigh..I miss you guys!! Even my old high school friends are so different now, its like we have this 5year gap between us. I'm glad Coral is back. Finally someone who understands me. But I've been pretty busy as well so haven't really had the chance to meet up with her proper.*ner makes a date (Must meet Coral)*
Anyways, yes I'm coming home!! It'd be a short one but we'll make it last. PARTIES PEOPLE!! Its ARTICULATE time!!! hehehe...I can imagine, Mags getting her 'leather' clothes ready, her milk shaking drinks, Thomas's intimate relation with Mark's venus-fly-trap. HAhaha..Classic memories man. So its a date, we're definately going to play Articulate!! Here's the plan..I'll be arriving with my folks on the 27th Oct (thurs) and we'll be leaving a day after my grad 5th (Sat). Well for those that can count (def not me!!!), you can see that I barely have 8days to hang with you guys. So please please please for my sake, keep your days free k!!!
Mags>> This is for you. (well it goes to Debs too but I doubt she reads my blog)
My menu list: Chap Jae (we have to cook this again -this time not too much k)
Chicken wings (the cumin one)
Curry (yes that'd be me!)
Stew (debs can take over this one now- hehehe)
All cakes (to be done by Debs)
Places to eat: Thai-a-long
Outbacksteak House
Lanecove pasta place (the one with 101 pasta, thought of bringing my dad there).
shit...can't remember all the other places I wanna go to!!Anyways you get the point yea.hehehe...
Aw man, another month more!! I can't wait. So till then guys, good morning, good afternoon and good night.

The things I thought you’d never know about me
Were the things I guess you always understood
So how could I have been so blind for all these years?
Guess I only see the truth through all this fear,
And living without you…
And everything I had in this world
And all that I’ll ever be
It could all fall down around me.
Just as long as I have you,
Right here by me.
I can’t take another day without you
‘Cause baby, I could never make it on my own
I’ve been waiting so long, just to hold you
And to be back in your arms where I belong
Sorry I can’t always find the words to say
But everything I’ve ever known gets swept away
Inside of your love…
And everything I had in this world
And all that I’ll ever be
It could all fall down around me.
Just as long as I have you,
Right here by me.
As the days grow long I see
That time is standing still for me
When you’re not here
Sorry I can’t always find the words to say
Everything I’ve ever known gets swept away
Inside of your love
And everything I had in this world
And all that I’ll ever be
It could all fall down around me.
Just as long as I have you,
Right here by me.
And everything I had in this world
And all that I’ll ever be
It could all fall down around me.
Just as long as I have you,
Right here by me.

Reasons Y I was MIA
9th July
Early in the morning, bid a very tearful farewell to all my loved friends and my sweetheart. I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for being there that morning. (I'll reimburse you guys for the airport carpark thing k!) It meant so much to me, more than words could every describe it. I know now that I'm truly blessed to have you all as friends. Boarded my flight SQ220 with Pascal. Just as soon as I got on I konked out, even before the plane could take off. I guess the emotions and the tireness won. Halfway through the flight, I woke up to find Pas asleep. This is when i took the chance to re-read all the msgs you guys left in my book and tears fell once again. I will truely miss you guys (i already do!!).
Touched down hot and humid Singapore with a bang. Had bleeding nose. ARGH! Pas said it had to be becoz of the pressure and the heat. So slowly we made our way through customs and out to my awaiting parents and Debs. Was in a rush so made plans to meet another day with Debs then headed home to pack once again. got home, packed what i needed for Bangkok, had a nice cold shower then went for dinner. Ate my all time favourite : Wonton Mee. YUM!!
Then at 8pm we left for Bangkok, so once again i was on a plane.
10th-13th July
was away in Bangkok where days were simply filled with Shopping, Eating, Sleeping, Shopping, Eating & sleeping. Had great fun there. Really want to go back there again. I shall and I will!
14th July
Early morning, we went to get a phone for little miss ner. New num : (+65) 8157 4407. Got my samsung D500!! YAAY!!!...a really nice 'sick' phone.

Went to Sim Lim to get myself a new computer desktop. A really good buy i must add. So went home to play around and started installing softwares. Then in the evening, met Nadia and went for a career fair. nothing much to see. just went to have a feel of the job market. things are pretty alright here. i should stand a good chance to get a job.
16th July
Went to get a new car. We GOT a new car. its a hyundai Tuscon 4WD. A big car compared to our Nissan Sunny (Pulsar). No don't get me wrong, its NOT my car. its a family car but i'll be driving it more. hehehe...
17th July
Spent the day with family.

All set, Ready to go!!
Hey Hey fellow friends, well the time has come for me to say goodbye. Yup this is it, I'm done with Uni and I'm heading home. Its sad I know but hey when one chapter ends another begins. So I'll like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that I've met in my journey here.
1) I'll like to thank my parents for supporting me through the years. Without them I wouldn't be where I am today. Thank you mum n dad. I love you!
2) Mark. For believing in me and carrying me when I had given up. Thank you for being my teacher, my lover and my best friend. I love you and I will for the rest of my life.
3) My Girls aka my Sisters.
Mags>> 'Sleeping' with you was an experience that I would never forget. All the funny classic events ('Andy' or the 'fishy fishy fishy'). For being my pillar of hope and just by being you made my life here a better place to be in. I will never forget all the times we've spent goofing around and all the special moments we've shared.
Adez>> The times we spent at Unilodge was unforgettable. Remember the nights when you would come knocking on my door with a toothbrush. Those were the days! Thank you for being there when I needed support and giving me advice when I was lost. Oh yah how can I forget, thank you for sharing clothes with me! =) Miss 'Moo Moo' pants.
Debz>> My hardworking and determined friend. I've tried so hard to be so like you but I always never seem to get it right. I guess it takes alot to be someone like you and I'll always be there trying to learn. Thank you for the times when you took care of me when I was sick, for helping me learn and for cooking all those delicious desserts. Girl! you have to cook for me sometime soon.
Nel>> Nelly Nelly!! What can I say. Thank you for just being you. You have brought so much fun in my life. Thank you for all the times that you would just sit and listen to me blabber on. Thanks for all the shopping therapy and just the chill out sessions that we have.
Well girls, its been a long journey for us all and there's more to come for sure. i'm just going to leave you guys for a while but I promise I'll be back. I love you girls, you've been my everything for the last few years.
4) The boyfriends and the brother. Yes, that's mainly you Pascal, Robs and Nav.
Pas>> Well I guess if it wasn't for me to invite Pas to join our circle of friends, you both would have to find another way to get close. =) Thanks Pas for pushing me to Mark at UTS and getting to know his name. I guess we're even huh.
Robs>> Thank you for being my little brother. Im going to miss all the jumping up and down, playing with the 'light saber', 'dragonball' and those dance moves. hehehe..Now waking up to pee in the middle of the night won't be same without finding you out there. =P
Nav>> We've only known each other a short time but I'm rest assured that Mark is well taken care of. Seeing those loving stares you give him make me realise that you 'love' him. hehehe..
5) For the rest of the friends that I've missed. Thank you for making my journey here alot worth while.
So this is it. World, please be prepared for little Nerdy Ner is coming.

Story of my life lately...
1) Its that time of the semester where work load seem to suddenly pile waaaay beeyond your head. I think on average, I'm writing at least 10 000 words per week. And that shall be carried on for another couple of weeks.
2) My poor baby's been having the hardest time in his life. Just this week, he handed in his thesis on Wed, had 2 essays due on Thurs and 1 project assignment on Fri. So his lack of sleep and the build-up of stress has given his short-temper a push. So lately there's this invisble tension between us due to uni. Boy do I hate UNI!!!
3) Well, I'm glad to say, I'm done with assignments for a while now (till SUN), and I'll be getting to spend some time with my baby. Woo Hoo..FINALLY.
4) Counting down the days till I leave. (sob sob). Can't believe everything is coming to an end!! I never understood the saying "All good things must come to an end". Must they really?? why can't we hold on to what we truly cherish and rid the bad bad stuff (which apparently tends to stay longer).
5) By the time exams are over, it is OFFICIAL!!! I would have finished my 15 years of education life. Wow that's more than half of my life spent on education. Sheesh!! =) Now its time for me to step into the world of the workforce. So world, here I come..please be prepared.

Rascal Flatts
I think I'm in love. I was brought up listening to country but my ears have never heard anything so beautiful. aaahhh...well for those that can't stand country then I'm sorry to inform that this is one of those kind of bands with the annoying country accent. But none the less, these guys are amazing. With the soulful lyrics..I could go to heaven. Okay that's my thoughts for today.

Wish List
Only a 5 weeks more till I say bye to Sydney and hello Singapore. Can't believe that after 5 years of freedom, its all going to end soon. Can't be all that bad right?! I'll be starting another chapter in my life and ending this one doesn't mean the end of the journey for me.
Anyway the good news is that, upon going home, I'll be getting the phone that I want and NEED. My current phone is such an old school. I need a change. So here it is, the Samsung D500. The thing I'm afraid of is that I'm such a Nokia fan and this wonderful phone is from Samsung. So has anyone any comments about Samsung and their 'faults' if any??

In Honour of Wee Kim Wee
EULOGY BY GRANDDAUGHTER OF FORMER PRESIDENT WEE KIM WEE - LIM HUI MIN Weekend May 7, 2005
MY grandfather's achievements as an editor, a diplomat and a head of state are now the stuff of legend. You would have read all these things in the newspapers or watched them on television - he was a public man. What I should talk about is my grandfather as a family man. I cannot talk about my grandfather without also talking about my grandmother. She was the rock of his life. His last thoughts were of her. They were holding hands when he finally went to sleep on Monday morning.
Last year, we celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. After dinner he presented her with a red packet full of money, which he then followed up with a jewellery box - because my grandmother loves wearing jewellery. There was a jade brooch inside the box. And, in return, in front of everybody, she kissed him three times. They were 87 and 88 at that time.
Once, (when) I was learning the piano, I thought I would learn some songs to play at my grandmother's birthday party. I asked my grandfather what songs he thought she would like. To my surprise he gave me a type-written sheet (with songs listed)in order of preference. He was always a usy man - he used to tell me that he had two million things on his mind. But at some point in his life, he had sat down and thought hard about what music my grandmother would enjoy and typed it all out and kept it in special folder ready to be whipped out at anytime.
Husbands who are here today: Do you have a list of your wife's top 10 favourite songs in a folder? That's a lesson you can take from my grandfather. They celebrated 69 years of marriage together in April this year. I thank my grandfather from the bottom of my heart for showing us what it really is like to love a person. I also thank my grandfather for showing us what it is to love life.
He was a man who enjoyed life. He collected snuff bottles, coins and stamps. He travelled the world; he played sports; he planted fruit trees; he loved the smell and taste of hazelnut coffee. Whenever his grandchildren visited him in his office - whether at the Malaysian High Commission, the embassy in Tokyo, the Singapore Broadcast Corporation or the huge halls of the Istana - there would come moments when he would wink at us, open his desk drawer and say "have a chocolate".
Unknown to my grandmother, who disapproved of his snacking in between meals, he always kept a secret stash of Hawaiian hazelnut chocolates, which e ate out of her sight during office hours. My grandfather loved animals as well. He liked to watch horses running. He like ogs and cats and he liked fish. At the last count, his house contained 11 chickens, eight terrapins, two goldfish and one dog. Once, someone gave him six turkeys. I think the idea was for them to be fattened up and eaten. My grandfather looked at them and spoke to them. He gave them names. I remember my mother saying to me, "Oh no, he has given them names - we'll never get rid of them now". And so the turkeys were with us for quite some time.
But one day, they started irritating the chickens so my grandfather decided to find them a new home. The Singapore Zoo was chosen. When the family heard about this, of course we all joked that the turkeys would be fed to the crocodiles. He was so alarmed by this that he made special arrangements with the zoo. They were to send him a written report every time a turkey died. The report had to state the cause of death and age of each turkey.
That was the kind of man my grandfather was. He revered and respected life - even the life of an animal. The stories of his life are, to me, all stories of love. If you wish to honour his memory in your life, then live your life to the full, stand by your friends, cherish your family, listen to everyone with an open mind and welcome those who cross your path with an open heart.
He has gone on another journey now. We have spent the past five days saying goodbye to him and it is now the time to let him go.
From all your grandchildren and great grandchildren: I know you love us all so very much. Goodbye gong gong (granddad). Goodbye.

Gdbye my Lover - James Blunt
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I've kissed your lips and held your head.
Shared your dreams and shared your bed.
I know you well, I know your smell.
I've been addicted to you.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.
I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true.
I cannot live without you.
Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.
And I still hold your hand in mine.
In mine when I'm asleep.
And I will bear my soul in time,
When I'm kneeling at your feet.

Okay enuff ranting about the weather. My past few days haven't all been that bad. Had a great meeting-up session with Christine Yee from KC. I can't believe its been 5 years since I left KC. WOW time must fly really quicky and I'm getting OLD!! Well the lastest news is that they're tearing down my primary school again. Its only been like 10year since they last did something to it. It must be all the ghost that's hanging around. (yikes!!) Other than that, everyone is doing alright. So that's good.
As for uni, things are going slow again -so that's good. A chance to catch up on readings and watching TV. hehehe... Well that's about it for now...so how have you guys been??

Emily is a 59 year-old woman who plans to retire at age 60 from her job as a financial executive. She has been with her male partner (age 64) for 10 years, and he plans to retire as well within the next year. Both Emily and her partner are in good health and look forward to carving out a new life in retirement; in fact, they have decided that this would be a good time for them to raise a child, and have come to an in vitro fertilisation (IVF) clinic to arrange for her to become pregnant. They are aware that it is now possible for postmenopausal women to bear children by employing egg donation, IVF, and embryo transplantation to the womb of the postmenopausal women, who would receive hormonal treatments. Emily's partner would provide the sperm for IVF, so he would be the biological father of the child.
I have to side with the clinic in refusing her request for IVF using all kinds of different theories. In my point of view, I don't think she's wrong in wanting to have children of her own. but God did stop women's capabilities of producing at certain age for a reason. However if we were to give people who are infertile a chance for IVF , who are we to refuse older couples. Is age really a barrier??

Hope everyone's having fun pulling each other's leg. hahaha... I can still remember the day we played a joke on the class of 3/5. boy was Mr Abt a great actor, he even got me to think that it was real. This is what happened:
the class committee got together with our form teacher Mr Abt (a german dude - imagine a scary ogre!). We asked him to come into class acting all fired up and demanding to see the class committee immediately. In the meantime we got the rest of the class to sit in according to their register numbers and to make sentences with the following words which spelt out Happy April Fool's Day. hahaha...That was fun! Sigh all the memories.
